Bragspot: White Poppy featured in Arizona Bride magazine

One of the fun things about being in the wedding flower biz is being recognized in publications.

White Poppy has been featured in the latest issue of Arizona Bride magazine. This wedding was an absolute blast to do! It was at one of my favorite locations- The Royal Palms Resort here in Phoenix. I collaborated with the ever-so-fun and fabulous wedding coordinator Cicely of Life Design Event Planning. The brides color scheme was hot pink and bright green, her flowers were a mixture of orchids, miniature calla lilies, hydrangea and roses.

We chose to put cut limes inside her glass centerpieces.

The fabulous photographer that worked on this wedding was Rebecca of Rebecca Bouck Photography. She was so professional and the pictures turned out amazing.

Bragspot: It’s great to be back

Hello everybody and thanks for your patience, it’s great to be back in the swing of blogging. This past June I was faced with some serious health problems with my son. It has been a trying summer but we are all doing much better now. I thought that my blog should take second fiddle for a while as my family is just too precious to me and needed all of my attention. Life has a way of mellowing out and I am glad to be back into the swing of life again with some healing time behind me.

Now onto some good stuff, like bragging…….he he.

I am pleased to announce that White Poppy has been featured in a national magazine, the summer issue of The Bride and Bloom.

I got a very exciting phone call this past spring from Liene Stevens of the ever-so-popular blog Blue Orchid Designs and owner of Splendid Communications. She asked me if I would like to collaborate with her on a photo shoot that involved the color yellow and featured lemons as a focal point. We decorated a rustic wood table with gorgeous trifle bowls filled with fresh flowers and lemons.

I was also asked to create an adorable bridal bouquet. Since our colors were predominately yellow, I chose daffodils to be my main flower, I also chose to wrap it with the cutest green gingham ribbon. This bad boy got a full page.

White Poppy is featured in Arizona Bride Magazine‘s Spring/Summer 2009 issue in the article Tip Top Tables. White Poppy is proud to be featured once again in Arizona Bride. This wedding was especially well managed thanks to the help of Cicely Rocha-Miller of Life Design Event Planning. Phoenix Bride and Groom chooses White Poppy Table Designs for Magazine

Phoenix Bride and Groom chose White Poppy to design and decorate full table settings for its Winter 2006/Spring 2007 magazine. In the article Every Blooming Thing, an elegant white and gold design is featured. In the article Making a Scene, a festive “70’s” era table is set, higlighting large sunflowers and miniature lava lamps. In the latter article, the white and gold table again is highlighted, focusing on linens and the stargazer lilies chosen for the centerpiece. The Spring 2007 magazine is on newsstands in select areas around the valley.

The Phoenix, AZ wedding florist, White Poppy, has two bouquets featured in the Buds of May article for the Spring/Summer edition of Arizona Bride. The bouquets include a tussy mussy comprised of nothing but stephanotis, and a vibrant bouquet made with yellow oncidium and hot-pink makara orchids. Copies of the Spring/Summer 2006 Arizona Bride Magazine are available on newsstands at local Borders Books & Music, AJ’s Fine Foods, and Safeway.

White Poppy has been featured in the article Fall In Love in the July/August edition of a the bridal publication, Arizona Bride. Fall designs by our Head Designer, Jeanne Birmingham, was featured in the article. Later in the same magazine, the article Arizona Dreaming features a wedding at the Wrigley Mansion using flowers designed by White Poppy. Copies of the July/August 2005 Arizona Bride Magazine are available on newsstands at local Borders Books & Music, AJ’s Fine Foods, and Safeway.

The Wedding Chronicle features Sweet Peas

In the March/April 2004 article “Flowers – So Many Choices”, The Wedding Chronicle chose to feature seven bridal bouquets designed by Sweet Peas Floral Design (now White Poppy).
